Government Launches L2-5 Combo Vehicle Category: The government has finally introduced a three-wheeler and two-wheeler combination vehicle. The decision about the new vehicle category L2-5 was undisclosed for a long time but now it has finally given the green signal after six years.

The L2-5 vehicle category is a combo vehicle that allows you a three-wheeler vehicle to convert into a two-wheeler vehicle. Thus, emphasizes on owner's convenience to drive both two-wheeler and three-wheeler vehicles as per their needs.

As per the reports, these L2-5 vehicle categories can be registered with the transportation officials in the Country.

In March, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways issued a notice that said introducing new draft rules to change the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989 thus supporting a convertible transportation system.

According to the notice released by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, “It can be separated or combined, as and when required; At any point in time, either a two-wheeler of Category L2 or a three-wheeled vehicle of Category L5 can only be used. cannot be self-propelled until it will be combined with a two-wheeled vehicle of category L2 by mechanical and electronic means.”

TOI also reported that as per the officials, making new types of cars and allowing registration for these types of vehicles focuses on encouraging new ways of transportation.

As per the reports, this L2-5 vehicle category is a three-wheeled motor vehicle that is made in such a way as to fit a two-wheeled vehicle with a non-self-propelled back module unit.

This L2-5 vehicle category can be used for both personal and business reasons, it offers a convenient way of traveling. For example, if you want to transport goods then you can use the three-wheeler option and if you just want to write then you can use the two-wheeler option.

Currently, the combo vehicle is run by electricity and there will be one license number for both cars.

Later on, the manufacturer might change it from an electric-powered to a fuel-powered vehicle if they decide to.

However, the introduction L2-5 vehicle category will help many people as it can meet the needs of a wide range of users in different situations.
