Google's parent company Alphabet will lay off 12,000 employees

Google's parent company Alphabet Inc. is laying off 12,000 employees. Its chief executive officer said this in a staff memo shared with news agency Reuters. This deduction is going to create another disturbance in the field of technology. Its rival Microsoft Corp has already said it will lay off 10,000 employees. The job cuts will affect all teams in the company, including recruiting and corporate operations as well as engineering and product teams.

This is known as Generative Artificial Intelligence. "I am confident in the strength of our mission, the value of our products and services, and the enormous opportunity that lies ahead thanks to our early investments in AI," Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai said in a note.
