Google fined Rs 936 crore again in India, second entrytrust penalty this month

The Competition Commission of India (CCI) on Tuesday imposed a fine of Rs 936.44 crore on Google. This penalty has been imposed for unfair trade practices in relation to the policies of the Play Store. The CCI found that Google had abused its dominant position. The regulator has directed the company to stop unfair business practices. The CCI said in the statement that it has directed Google to rectify its conduct within a stipulated time frame. This is the second time in less than a week that the CCI has taken a major decision against Google.
