Gold and Silver Rates Today On September 21: After staying unchanged the previous day, the gold rate today in India has decreased.

On Saturday, September 21, the 22-carat gold price stands at Rs 68,500 per 10 grams while the gold price today for 24-carat is valued at Rs 74,730 per 10 grams.

The 22-carat rate today in India went up by Rs 140 in the last 24 hours while the 24-carat gold rate today has increased by Rs 150 compared to the previous day’s price.

On September 20, the gold rate for 22-carat was priced at Rs 68,650 per 10 grams and the gold rate for 24-carat was valued at Rs 74,880 per 10 grams.

Furthermore, the 22-carat gold price today per gram stands at Rs 6,737 while the 24-carat gold price today is valued at Rs 7,333 per gram.

On the MCX, the gold futures contracts expiring on October 2024 went down by Rs 16 and were trading at 73,499 per 10 gm while the silver contracts maturing on September 2024 on MCX futures went up by Rs 444 and were trading at 89,624 per kg.

The last massive drop in the gold rate was recorded after the announcement of the Union Budget by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on July 23rd.

Thus, the new budget reduced the excise duty tax imposed on gold and silver which led to the reduction in gold and silver rates on the next day.

The gold and silver rate was reduced by Rs 4,000 soon after the budget was announced.
