Gold and Silver Rates Today On August 24: After a decrease of Rs 300 in gold rate the previous day, the gold price today has again decreased for the second time in a row.

On August 24, the 22-carat gold price today in India stands at Rs 66,600 per 10 grams while the 24-carat gold price today costs Rs 72,650 per 10 grams.

The 22-carat gold rate today has decreased by Rs 200 in the last 24 hours and the 24-carat gold rate went down by Rs 220 compared to last day’s price.

Yesterday the 22-carat gold was priced at Rs 66,800 per 10 grams and the 24-carat gold price is valued at Rs 72,870 per 10 grams.

The silver rate today in India stands at Rs 86,700 per kilogram, and the silver prices in India have remained unchanged in the last 24 hours.

In the MCX, the gold futures contracts expiring on October 2024 were trading at Rs 2,548 per gram, while the silver futures maturing September 2024 were trading at Rs 83,640 per kg.

The last massive fluctuation in gold and silver prices was in July 2024 when gold and silver rates were reduced by Rs 4000. This comes after the announcement of the Union Budget by the Finance Minister that reduced the excise duty tax imposed on gold and silver from 15% to 6%.
