Get minute to minute election updates on DD, AIR: Information Ministry

While thousands of election candidates are waiting with bated breath to know the results of the assembly elections in five states held recently, people are also curiously waiting to know if their candidates who they had voted for won the election or not.

The counting of votes will begin on March 10 early in the morning and all the news channels will try to get as many viewers as possible to enhance their TRP.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting has pitched for the government-owned medium of mass communication – Doordarshan and All India Radio. It has asked viewers to watch these two media entities for authentic and accurate information.

In a statement, the Ministry said, “As people eagerly await the results of the recently held Assembly polls in 5 states, DD News and All India Radio News, the news broadcasting arms of public broadcaster Prasar Bharati, are all set to cover the minute to minute updates on the counting day on March 10, 2022.”

“Through a wide network of onground reporters and stringers to ensure accuracy and fact-check in counting statistics, DD News will bring you the most accurate figures in real time from all the five states. Political experts and psephologists will be analysing those figures live on DD News show ‘Janadesh’, from 7 AM onwards,” it added.

The Ministry has also said that a live data hub, leveraging the strength of the on ground team and reach, will be further enriching the updates on DD News every second.
