Tourists can get free entry to the Taj Mahal from Feb 27 to March 1. According to the ASI officials, a 3-day Urs of Shah Jahan are going to be celebrated within the Taj Mahal on these three days, because of that tourists are getting this exemption.

According to the ASI officials, a 3-day Urs of Shah Jahan are going to be celebrated within the Taj Mahal on these three days, because of that tourists are getting this exemption.
Raj Kumar Patel, Superintending archaeologist of ASI (Agra Circle) told PTI, “There are going to be free entry for the traveller on 27th, twenty eighth and March one on the occasion of the annual Urs of the Shahjahan at the Taj Mahal." While, on Sunday and Monday, the tourists entry will be from 2 pm until sunset and on March 1, the free entry will be from sunrise to sunset, Patel said. Urs or Urus, is the death day of a Sufi saint, usually held at the saint’s dargah.
