Gautam Benegal, a filmmaker, died due to cardiac arrest

Gataum Benegal, a writer, cartoonist, and filmmaker, died of heart arrest at the age of 56. Kaizaad Kotwal, a friend and artist, turned to social media and said, "I am in deep shock." Gautam Benegal is no longer alive. We were just messaging each other the other day. What a tragic loss for all of India, particularly its artistic, intellectual, and progressive citizens. I'm still having trouble processing this. Gautam, rest in peace.”
