Gasoline and diesel prices remain unchanged for the second day in a row.
Gasoline now costs 33% more than the price at which aviation turbine fuel (ATF or jet fuel) is sold to airlines. The ATF in Delhi costs 79,020.16 per kilo per liter, or about 79 per liter.

Fuel prices remained unchanged on Tuesday, October 19, for the second day in a row. Previously, rates had been increased over a period of four consecutive days to reach record highs. In the nation's capital, a liter of gasoline costs 105.84 and diesel is sold at 94 94.57 per liter, according to Indian Oil Corporation.

In Mumbai, a liter of gasoline now costs 111.77 and diesel sells for 102.52 a liter. Gasoline prices in Chennai have exceeded the 103 per liter mark and it is currently selling at 103.01 per liter. Of the four metropolitan cities, fuel rates are the highest in Mumbai, according to oil refiner.
State-run oil refiners such as Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum, and Hindustan Petroleum revise the fuel rates on a daily basis, by taking into account the crude oil prices in the international markets, and the rupee-dollar exchange rates. Any changes in petrol and diesel prices are implemented with effect from 6 am every day.
Globally, oil prices dipped from multi-year highs touched on Monday. Brent crude lost 0.42 per cent to 83.97 a barrel and U.S. crude lost 0.24 per cent to 82.24 a barrel.
