Gangajal will not be available in Ghaziabad and Noida from October 6
The Ganga Nahar will be cleaned for 20 days. After that the water will be released. Water will reach Ghaziabad on October 26. Water will be supplied to the people from the Gangajal plant.

Noida, Trans Hindon and Siddharth Vihar will not get Ganga water from October 6. Ganganahar water will be stopped from Haridwar on Tuesday night. In Ghaziabad, water will be supplied from tube wells by the Municipal Corporation. On Diwali, people will again have to face water scarcity.
Every year water is stopped from Haridwar for cleaning Ganga Nahar. The Irrigation Department has given the official information about stopping the water to the Jal Nigam. Water will be kept in stock for two days after the Gangnahar is closed. Water will be supplied once a day from the tube wells by the Water Resources Department. There are many tube wells.
In such a situation, there may be a problem in the supply of water. Somendra Tomar, the junior engineer of the water department, told that the tube wells which are faulty will be repaired. Water will be supplied from tube wells. If there is a fault in the drinking water line at any place, it will be rectified. The Ganga Nahar will be cleaned for 20 days. After that the water will be released. Water will reach Ghaziabad on October 26. Water will be supplied to the people from the Gangajal plant.
Jal Nigam's Junior Engineer Pradeep Garg told that there are two Gangajal plants of Gangajal in Pratap Vihar. From 100 cusecs plant, 80 Noida, 15 Indirapuram, 5 cusecs Siddharth Vihar gets Ganga water whereas 23 Vasundhara, 20 Noida and 7 cusecs of Ganga water gets Indirapuram from the 50 cusec plant.
