Gal Gadot and Rachel Zegler’s Reported Tensions Over Israel-Palestine Views Amid ‘Snow White’ Promotion
An insider quote from People asserts, "Gal enjoyed filming, but she and Rachel are not friends. They did a job together, and that’s it".

‘Snow White’ Promotion: There is not much good blood between reel Evil Queen and Snow White these days. And even if they are good at pretending, the voracious press tour, both Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot seem to be totally enjoying it, has made this very evident.

Other than "everything in common," storyline and vibe checks among the two actresses do not seem at all hunky-dory. According to an insider quote published in People, "Gal is a mother of four, while Rachel is in a completely different stage of life. On top of that, their political views differ, adding to the tension." Well, speaking of politics more specifically-Gal's born in Israel and has been very vocal about supporting the release of Israeli hostages; on the very same breath, Rachel resounds her voice and influence over Palestine vis-a-vis the Gaza conflict making this an understandable tenuous grounding for the two within the working relationship.

Needless to say about controversy, live action very much is there because the exact scenario was what unfolded from the time of the announcement that the making of this Disney classic was underway. At the time the project was announced to have Rachel as its star, the creaters and the young actor himself faced a whole lot of racially motivated-backlash for casting an Latinx woman as the lead. Rachel made some remarks calling the original 1937 Snow White "dated" at the time, whether to hit back or from a real view-we would never know. It was through such remarks, despite highlighting the fact that the new project is going to be quite modern in its approach, that the back-and-forth had apparently cheesed off Gal. A source-based quote carried by People read: "Gal's attitude is that you don't criticize and cause drama for a project you signed on to do. She just doesn't get it".
However, that doesn't exactly mean it is a bad blood thing. An insider quote from People asserts, "Gal enjoyed filming, but she and Rachel are not friends. They did a job together, and that’s it".
Amid all the drama and tension, Snow White will be hitting theaters on March 21.
