From Miranda Kerr to Gisele Bündchen, these Victoria’s Secret Models mourns the loss of Fashion Photographer Patrick Demarchelier

Patrick Demarchelier, the Fashion Photographer who has worked with the likes of Beyonce, Miranda Kerr, Gisele Bündchen, Princess Diana, and umpteen others and created Iconic Images for the Fashion Industry, has died at the age of 78. From his official Instagram account, it was announced that "It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Patrick Demarchelier on March 31st, 2022, at the age of 78. He is survived by his wife Mia, his three sons Gustaf, Arthur, Victor, and three grandchildren." From Victoria’s Secret Supermodels to Desi Girl Priyanka Chopra, all have shared pictures on their Instagram in memory of the Legendary Photographer.

Former Victoria’s Secret Angel and Brazilian Supermodel Gisele Bündchen, wrote on her Instagram, “When I first shot with Patrick, I was just 16 years old. He was one of the first people in a fashion that believed in me. I feel so lucky that I got to work with him so many times through the years and create so many great memories. Patrick, you will be missed.” Gisele shared all the colossal pictures that Patrick created with her, and Might we add that no one could capture the Brazilian Bombshell like Demarchelier. Be it capturing her bare self, or capturing her liberation while she rides a horse, Patrick's work screamed one of a kind.

Supermodel and Business Woman Miranda Kerr also took to Instagram and mourned the Fashion Coneissur’s loss. She shared pictures of her wedding, which were clicked by Patrick along with some classic and contemporary Victoria’s Secret Shoots. Miranda wrote, “So saddened about the passing of Patrick Demarchelier ???? I Will miss him and was so lucky enough to have so many special moments captured by him.”

Supermodel Rianne Van Rompaey also shared her Iconic Images and wrote a heartfelt caption that stated, “Patrick brought me to NY for the first time, and his studio became a place where I learned how to model. Even though I never understood a word he said (people who knew Patrick know what I mean), we found a way to communicate through shooting together. His sense of humor was impeccable and I hold the memories of him very close to my heart.”

Among the others who mourned the loss of the Fashion Representative were, Cindy Crawford, Priyanka Chopra, Bella Hadid, and Hailey Beiber among others. Demarchelier’s work included many iconic ones, the most promulgated one being Princess Diana's iconic black and white photo with her crown.
