Four members of arms smuggler gang arrested, 7 pistols recovered
During interrogation, the police came to know from the accused that Shahrukh and Mujahid used to buy illegal weapons at low prices from different areas of Bulandshahr and Meerut. Sumit was his agent in Delhi. Arms were sold in Delhi through Sumit.

The Outer District Police has busted an interstate gang of arms smugglers and arrested four of its members. Police have recovered seven pistols and 18 cartridges from the accused. Outer District Deputy Commissioner of Police Harendra K Singh said that information was received that two smugglers were about to come to the Dussehra Ground in Paschim Vihar to sell illegal weapons. After this the team was formed under the supervision of ACP Arun Kumar Chaudhary. The team laid siege to the Dussehra ground and caught three accused on the basis of suspicious activity.
During interrogation, they told their names as Shahrukh, Mujahid and Sumit. During the search, police found two pistols from Shahrukh and one pistol from Sumit. Police started investigation by registering an FIR under the Arms Act at Paschim Vihar West police station. During interrogation, it was revealed from all three that Shahrukh and Mujahid are arms smugglers and they had come from Uttar Pradesh to sell arms to Sumit. Both told the police that a person named Mousin used to provide illegal weapons to them. On the basis of this information, Mousin was also nabbed. Four pistols were recovered from Mousin.
