Former Spinner Amit Sharma dismisses reports of a rift between Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli
After Kohli has openly questioned his sacking saying that he was never informed about his removal by the selectors, the rumour has gained more ground than ever.

The rumours of a rift between Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli has once again gained prominence after the former has replaced the latter as India’s ODI captain.
After Kohli has openly questioned his sacking saying that he was never informed about his removal by the selectors, the rumour has gained more ground than ever.
However, former Indian spinner Amit Sharma has tried to clear the air by stating that the two players were always on the same page and there was never any occasion when they had any rift on any other issues.
According to reports, Sharma has dismissed all such reports of rift and said that the two players have a very positive and professional approach towards life. He said that the two players have always maintained very good communication on the field and such reports of differences are not true.
Siding with Kohli, Mishra also said that any player who has done so much for India cricket should have a right to know why he has been removed from the captaincy. Mishra says that this hasn’t happened for the first time as there are instances in the past when captains were removed without any communication to them about their removal.
He also said that every player has a right to know where he is lacking so that he can improve upon his game and perform better.
Earlier Kohli too clarified in a virtual press conference that he never had any differences with Rahul on the field.
Kohli said, “There is no rift between me and Rohit Sharma. I have clarified multiple times in the last two and a half years and now I am tired of clarifying things. I can guarantee you that my communication will never be to take my team down till I am playing cricket. It is my commitment towards Indian cricket,”
