Michael Vaughan likening India first innings against Bangladesh: Michael Vaughan who is the former England captain talked about India's strategy in the second Test against Bangladesh which was similar to their swift first innings to England's "Bazball" style.
Indians players in their first innings at Kanpur's Green Park Stadium played roughly. After Bangladesh was bowled out for 233 in the second session, Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal and captain Rohit Sharma lead the heat.
In a tweet shared by Vaughan on his X account, he wrote, "I see India are playing Bazball," drawing a comparison to England's aggressive cricket.” Bazball is known as England's attacking strategy under Brendon McCullum who was the red ball coach in 2022.
India scored 285 runs in 34.4 overs and declared with a 52-run lead in the last session of Day 4.
Jaiswal led the way with a fifty off of 31 balls, and Rohit added 23 runs off of 11 balls, with three sixes and a four.
In the end, Jaiswal scored 72 runs off of 51 balls, with 12 fours and 2 sixes.

India kept scoring quickly even though they were losing wickets often, which kept their momentum going throughout their game. Shubman Gill (39), Virat Kohli (47), and KL Rahul all made contributions that kept the pace fast.
India was clearly determined to get a win, since two days of play had to be called off because of rain and a wet field. India is currently in first place in the World Test Championship (WTC).
A 2-0 series win over Bangladesh would put them in a better situation to make it to the final for the third year in a row.
If the Kanpur Test ends in a tie, though, India will have a harder time because they will need to win five of their last eight WTC matches.
India will host New Zealand for a three-Test series in October after the Bangladesh series. They will then go on tour to Australia for a five-Test series.
