Fire breaks out in Telangana's new secretariat, to be inaugurated on February 17

11 fire engines were sent to the spot to douse the fire. It is suspected that the fire broke out due to short circuit. The fire is believed to have started from an air-conditioning wiring duct and spread to scrap material lying on the ground floor. Nagi Reddy, director general of the state fire department, personally supervised the firefighting operation.

Fire breaks out in Telangana's new secretariat, to be inaugurated on February 17

A fire broke out in the secretariat complex of the Telangana government in the early hours of Friday. The fire, which broke out at around 2:30 am, spread from the ground floor to the first and second floors. Fire tenders reached the spot and after two hours of struggle, the fire was brought under control. Please tell that this new secretariat has not been inaugurated yet. It was inaugurated by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao is going to do on 17 February.

The fire is believed to have started from an air-conditioning wiring duct and spread to scrap material lying on the ground floor. Nagi Reddy, director general of the state fire department, personally supervised the firefighting operation.

The information about the damage caused by the fire has not been revealed yet. Officials said the cause of the fire is being investigated. The new secretariat building, built at a cost of about Rs 650 crore, is built on the same land where the old joint secretariat of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh was earlier. The state government has named the new secretariat complex as Dr.B. R. Named after Ambedkar. CM KCR had said that it reflects the pride of Telangana and will be a role model for other states.
