Filmmaker Raj Kaushal, Mandira Bedi’s husband, passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest

In a sad turn of events, filmmaker Raj Kaushal took his last breath on Wednesday after suffering a heart attack. Raj, 49, is survived by his wife, actress Mandira Bedi, whom he married in 1999. The couple had a son named Vir and a daughter named Tara.
Raj Kaushal's last rites took place in Dadar's Shivaji Park crematorium. Close friends from the industry, namely actors Ronit Roy, Sameer Soni, Ashish Chowdhry, and Dino Morea, were present.
At the beginning of his career, Raj worked as a copywriter for filmmakers Mukul S Anand and Subhash Ghai. In 1998, he founded his own production company, Fuel, and has since directed over 400 commercials for major brands such as Hero Honda, Birla Plus, Nestle, Surf, and Rin.
He directed Bollywood films such as 'Shaadi Ka Laddoo,' 'Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi,' and 'Anthony Kaun Hai,' his most recent feature film. He also produced Onir's famous 2005 drama 'My Brother... Nikhil,' starring Sanjay Suri and Juhi Chawla.
Onir was among the first to express condolences for Kaushal's death on Social media. He tweeted, "Gone too soon. This morning, we lost filmmaker and producer Raj Kaushal. It's very sad. One of those few who believed in our idea and backed us. Prayers for his soul."
Raj Kaushal's death was also mourned by Neha Dhupia, Anupam Kher, Ronnie Screwvala, Sudhir Mishra, and others.
Neha posted a snapshot from a recent get-together that included Raj and Mandira. “I can't believe you're no longer with us. I'm at a loss for words, Mandira, my strong, powerful girl. Vir and Tara have my heart. As I type this, I'm shaken, shocked, and in disbelief,” she wrote.
Remembering his fond memories of working with Raj, Anupam Kher expressed on social media that he is "very grieved and horrified to learn of the sudden loss of Raj Kaushal."
