Neymar had given Brazil the lead in extra time of the first half but Croatia equalized through a 117th-minute goal from Bruno Petkovic. Croatia will now face the winner of the quarterfinal between Argentina and the Netherlands.

Ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2022, a major upset has taken place in the quarter-finals. Brazil was the 5-time champion team in front of Croatia in this match. Both the teams were tied 0-0 for 90 minutes after which the game went into extra time. There both the teams scored one goal each. But when it came to the penalty shootout, Croatia won.
Croatia on Friday crashed out of the FIFA World Cup quarter-finals by defeating five-time champions Brazil 4-2 on penalties. Croatian goalkeeper Dominik Livkovic made saves from Rodrigo and Marquinhos.
