Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has decided to join the micro-blogging site Koo. The actress expressed her frustration against Twitter in his latest post as she wrote, “Your time is up @Twitter time to shift to #kooapp will inform everyone soon about my account details there.”
“Absolutely thrilled to experience homegrown #kooapp,” she added.
Of late, Twitter deleted her tweets related to the farmers’ protest alleging that they violated its rules. In one of tweets responding to cricketer Rohit Sharma, Kangana calls cricketers Dhobi ka Kutta.
According to Twitter, if any tweet tries to promote violence, hateful conduct, abuse/harassment/ etc, it gets hidden behind a notice until the owner deletes it on his own.
Upset with Twitter’s action, Kangana wrote, “Tumko banaya kisne hai Chief Justice? At times you also gang up, then become a bully headmaster? Some times even the unelected member of the parliament. That’s not all at times you even pretend to be Prime Minister. Who are you? Bunch of druggies trying to control us @jack.”
She responded to a tweet by Twitter Safety which informed, “We’ve made it clear, around the world, that we strongly believe that the Tweets must flow. For more on how we engage governments and protect our values around the world, see our Transparency Report.”
“However, we have not taken any action on accounts that consist of news media entities, journalists, activists, and politicians. We will continue to advocate for the right of free expression on behalf of the people we serve, and are exploring options under Indian law,” it adds further detailing about its safety norms.
