External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar to visit Bangladesh and Bhutan
Jaishankar attended the 18th BIMSTEC ministerial meeting in Colombo on Tuesday. The External Affairs Minister said that the member countries of BIMSTEC must fight together against terrorism and violent extremism.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar met his counterparts from Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh on the sidelines of the BIMSTEC ministerial meeting here on Tuesday and discussed cooperation in connectivity, energy and hydropower projects. Jaishankar tweeted, "Nice to meet Foreign Minister of Nepal Narayan Khadka during the BIMSTEC Ministerial Meeting. Our cooperation in connectivity, energy, fertilisers, health and electricity was discussed. It was also agreed to focus on taking the Ramayana circuit forward.

He also said that cooperation on port hubs, ferry services, coastal shipping, grid connectivity and movement of motor vehicles is important. The Nepalese Foreign Ministry said the two ministers discussed other matters in their meeting "including the ongoing preparations for the Hon'ble Prime Minister's visit to India".
