Emmy Nominations: It’s Zendaya people, Making History is Her Thing !!!
Continuing her phenomenal discourse, the singer, actor, and multi-hyphenate Zendaya became the youngest woman ever nominated for producing at the Prestigious Emmys.

It’s Zendaya people, do we expect something else from her apart from creating history– Of Course Not. Continuing her phenomenal discourse, the singer, actor, and multi-hyphenate, Zendaya became the youngest woman ever nominated for producing at the Prestigious Emmys. Oh, and did we mention this was apart from the 25-year-old’s two-time lead actor nominations. With this investiture, she has become the first Black woman to be nominated for acting and songwriting in the same year at the Primetime Emmy Awards.
This isn’t the first time the “I’m Tired” Hitmaker conquered victories of unparalleled measures. In the year 2020, for her role as Rue in HBO’s Euphoria, she was a Majestic Roar while taking the trophy for the youngest lead actress for a Drama Series. After all, she is heralded as the Cultural Icon in the making by Time.
In Euphoria, Zendaya plays Rue Bennet, a High-Schooler who seems to be in a toxic relationship with drug addiction, a lover who keeps clinging back, making all attempts of moving on futile. She loves, she loses, she does everything that should make you want to hate her for being selfish, but yet, you fall into an abyss of admiring her. Of course, fans went bananas after hearing the news. So much that, #Zendaya was trending on Twitter with over 50,000 Tweets. A user took to Twitter and wrote, “Zendaya being nominated for Lead Actress, Executive producer and as a writer for her two Euphoria songs … NO ONE IS DOING IT LIKE HER”
“Euphoria,” inspired by the Israeli miniseries of the same name by Ron Leshem and Daphna Levin, is created, written, directed, and executive produced by Levinson. The show is being produced in partnership with A24. Leshem and Levin executive produce the HBO series alongside Levinson, apart from Kevin Turen, Ravi Nandan, Drake, Adel “Future” Nur, Will Greenfield, Ashley Levinson, Hadas Mozes Lichtenstein, and Zendaya. The show was renewed for a third season back in February 2022, but the date of the premiere has not been set yet.
Over the last two years, Euphoria has garnered a total of nine Emmy nominations, also previously winning out in the categories of Outstanding Contemporary Makeup (Non-Prosthetic) and Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics. The Emmys this year will be broadcasted live on NBC on September 12th. The event will also stream live on the streaming platform Peacock for the first time.
