Elon Musk Praises Trump’s Conflict Resolution: As tensions with Donald Trump over his "One Big, Beautiful Bill" escalate, billionaire Elon Musk praised the US President’s negotiating skills on Wednesday after Trump said Israel was ready to make a peace deal with Hamas to stop the conflict in Gaza.
"Credit where credit is due. @realDonaldTrump has successfully resolved several serious conflicts around the world," Musk wrote on X, posting a screenshot of Trump's Truth Social post announcing the truce deal.

Musk’s tweet came after Trump announced Israel had agreed to a 60 day ceasefire in Gaza.

"Elon Musk knew, long before he so strongly Endorsed me for President, that I was strongly against the EV Mandate. It is ridiculous, and was always a major part of my campaign," wrote Trump on Truth Social as he warned Musk of being deported.
Trump didn’t stop with the deportation threat. He also suggested deploying DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency), the cost-cutting unit Musk used to run as a special government employee against the Tesla and SpaceX CEO. “We might have to put DOGE on Elon. You know what DOGE is? DOGE is the monster that might have to go back and eat Elon,” Trump quipped, adding another layer to their growing feud.

Trump turned the tables on Musk and suggested Doge (the cost-cutting department Musk used to run) look into his government subsidies and contracts.
At the center of the feud between Trump and Musk is the concern that the bill would end the popular $7,500 consumer tax credit for electric vehicles. This will make EVs more expensive - a fact that has got Musk charged up. Musk threatened to start his own political party 'American Party’ if Trump’s bill becomes law.
Trump has always opposed the electric vehicle (EV) mandate, a Joe Biden era policy he called “ridiculous” and a central part of his campaign.
The US Senate passed a massive tax cut and spending bill on Tuesday, advancing a package that would cut taxes, reduce social safety net programs, and boost military and immigration enforcement spending while adding $3.3 trillion to the national debt.
