Elections Results 2022: As counting begins at 8, candidates wait with bated breath

The counting of voting for the five assembly elections in India is starting at 8 in the morning.

Millions of people from their constituencies of five states and thousands of candidates who are contesting these elections have been waiting impatiently to know their fate since March 8 when the last phase of the election got over in Uttar Pradesh.

The Exit Polls, done by various research groups from news channels have predicted a clear majority for the BJP, which means, it is going to retain the power and there is no change of governance here.

The results for the Assembly Elections in Punjab is going to be crucial for Aam Adami Party and the Exit Poll results have shown that the party is going to get a clear majority in Punjab.

It will be a setback for Congress, the ruling party in Punjab if the Exit Poll comes true here.

So far as the other three states are concerned - Goa, Manipur and Uttarakhand – there seems to be a close contest between the rival political parties for vote share. It is just a matter of a few hours from now that the results will be out and the fate of the candidates will be decided.

Many big names are in the fray and as the counting begins, they will be waiting anxiously to get the results in their own favour.
