Eknath Shinde, the caretaker Chief Minister of Maharashtra, has been down with fever and throat infection for the past two days, as per his family doctor, who added that he is on recovery now.

A doctor revealed that a group of 3-4 doctors now treating Eknath Shinde in his native village in Satara district of Maharashtra. Shinde had travelled down to his native village in Satara district on Friday.

RM Patre, Shinde's family doctor, told ANI, "He is doing fine now. He has been experiencing fever, body pain, throat infection, and cold for the past two days. We have administered antibiotics. A team of three to four doctors is attending to him."
However, amid ongoing suspense about the announcement of the Chief Ministerial candidate in Maharashtra, Saturday saw BJP state president Chandrashekhar Bawankule disclose that the Mahayuti ceremony would take the oath on December 5.
The swearing-in ceremony is to be held at 5 pm at Azad Maidan in Mumbai.
According to Bawankule, the event will take place in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In a post on X, Bawankule wrote, "The oath-taking ceremony of the Mahayuti government in Maharashtra will be held in the presence of the pride of the world, Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji, on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at 5 PM at Azad Maidan, Mumbai."
Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Shirsat mentioned that caretaker Chief Minister Eknath Shinde is said to be taking a big decision by Sunday.
When quizzed about the inclination regarding the distribution of ministries to allies, Shirsat said all would be cleared by Monday evening.

Earlier, on Thursday night, Maharashtra's caretaker CM Eknath Shinde met Devendra Fadnavis, NCP chief Ajit Pawar, and other Mahayuti leaders in the national capital where they had discussions with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP national president JP Nadda.
The election ended with results on 23 November: the beyond-powerful Sho-Maha.
The ruling alliance has not finalized its Chief Ministerial candidate yet.
The most successful party is BJP with 132 seats in 280-strength Maharashtra Assembly, where other Shiv Sena with Eknath Shinde-led, and NCP with Ajit Pawar-led bagged 57 and 41 seats respectively.
