He lived in Jogeshwari, Mumbai till the age of six. In the year 1996, his parents shifted to New Zealand.
In the first innings, Ijaz showed Indian captain Virat Kohli, Cheteshwar Pujara, Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, Wriddhiman Saha, Ravichandran Ashwin, Axar Patel, Jayant Yadav, Mohammad Siraj and Mayank Agarwal the way to the pavilion. Kohli, Pujara and Ashwin could not even open the account.The second and last Test match of the series is being played between India and New Zealand (IND vs NZ 2nd Test) from Friday. On the first day of the test some people came from Ejaz's family who were supporting him on behalf of Garware Pavilion.
