Effect of Russia-Ukraine War, Sensex down 778 points
The BSE Sensex closed at 55,469, down 1.38% or 778 points. Whereas, the 50-share NSE Nifty 50 of the National Stock Exchange fell 1.12% or 188 points to 16,606.

On Wednesday, March 2, there was a huge fall in the stock market. Due to the ongoing war between Russia-Ukraine for several days, there is an atmosphere of fear among investors. The BSE Sensex closed at 55,469, down 1.38% or 778 points. Whereas, the 50-share NSE Nifty 50 of the National Stock Exchange fell 1.12% or 188 points to 16,606.
Nifty Smallcap 100 index rose 0.5%. At the same time, Nifty Midcap 100 Index closed flat.
