ED raids at many places in Punjab, arms and drugs found in large quantities
The raids were carried out at the business and residential premises of Satar Singh alias Laddi, Gajjan Singh, Makhan Singh and their family members and some other associates, according to a statement issued by the ED.

Raids were conducted by the Enforcement Directorate in a drug-related money laundering case in Punjab. Arms, ammunition and about 16 kg of suspected narcotics were recovered during the raid. The raids were conducted at 10 different places in Punjab's Tarn Taran district in villages like Sharon, Nowshera Pannuan and Bugha. The raids were carried out at the business and residential premises of Satar Singh alias Laddi, Gajjan Singh, Makhan Singh and their family members and some other associates, according to a statement issued by the ED.
The case, filed under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), comes as a result of several FIRs lodged against Makhan Singh's son Hardev Singh alias Rambo and others under various sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and the Arms Act .
The agency said Hardev Singh is currently lodged in the Amritsar Central Jail in a 2018 case related to the recovery of four kg of heroin. The agency said that during the search, two rifles, three pistols and some bullets were recovered. The ED said, “The information about the said arms and ammunition was given to the local police authorities.
Since original licenses were not available for some of the weapons recovered from the residential premises, they were handed over to the local police authorities.” As per reports, about 16 kg of suspected narcotics was also recovered and handed over to the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). ) seized by the authorities. The ED had also called the NCB for assistance during the raid.
