The case was registered in the Gokalpuri police station and the investigation was taken by the police team.
A brief background of the case is that on March 4, 2020, a complaint was received from one 73-year-old Manori, wife of Azimuddin and resident of Bhagirathi Vihar, Gokulpuri Delhi.
She alleged in her complaint that on February 25, 2020, a mob of rioters around 150-200 attacked her house when her family was not present at the house and looted all the articles and even the buffalo. On her statement, an FIR was registered. During the course of the investigation, an accused Dinesh @ Michal, 25, resident of Bhagirathi Vihar, Gokulpuri, Delhi was arrested on June 8, 2020.
“After concluding the investigation, the charge sheet was filed before the court for judicial trial. This result has been achieved by sincere efforts by investigating officers and supervision by senior officers during the investigation of the cases,” Sanjay Kumar Sain, DCP, North-East District, said.
