DU's instructions to colleges, Do not organize any event without the permission of the police
The University said that in the light of an advisory received from the Police Department, the following guidelines are issued to all the Colleges and Departments of the University of Delhi. No event should be organized without proper permission of the police or in case of emergency or paucity of time, the police station, Maurice Nagar should be informed at least one day in advance.

The University of Delhi (DU) on Friday issued guidelines to its colleges asking them not to host any event without the permission of the police and not to allow admission to anyone without registration. These guidelines of Delhi University come days after the uproar over a recent event at DU's Miranda House College.
The University said that in the light of an advisory received from the Police Department, the following guidelines are issued to all the Colleges and Departments of the University of Delhi. No event should be organized without proper permission of the police or in case of emergency or paucity of time, the police station, Maurice Nagar should be informed at least one day in advance.
The university said that only students of certain colleges or departments are allowed to enter if events or festivals are organized. It should not be opened to all. Admission should be allowed only after registering for the program with the ID of the college. The university has also asked colleges to take necessary permissions from other departments like fire, electricity, etc. The university said that the deployment of volunteers is also required at the time of programmes. Therefore, many volunteers can also be reported to the police.
