Dubai Airport Flooded: Flights Diverted Amid Heavy Rain, 18 Found Dead In Oman

The desert country rarely experiences rain and climate changes but such heavy rain has put the busiest country into stop mode, thus disrupting the daily routine of the people.

Due to such heavy rain, the whole city got flooded, and not only the air travel disrupted but even the road was full of water.

Dubai Airport Flooded: Dubai International Airport which is known as the second busiest airport in the world got flooded on Tuesday due to heavy rain in the United Arab Emirates(UAE). Thus, due to such heavy rain, the whole city got flooded, and not only the air travel disrupted but even the road was full of water.

The desert country rarely experiences rain and climate changes but such heavy rain has put the busiest country into stop mode, thus disrupting the daily routine of the people.

The Dubai International Airport which usually undergoes more than 100 flights arrivals and departures had such a turn of events to divert all its flights due to heavy rain downpours and passengers had to face the consequences. After 25 minutes, a slow restart took place, flights were resumed.

But even when departure flights resumed in the evening, there were still delays and cancellations in flight operations.

A viral video of the Dubai airport gaining the attention of social media "X" showed that the whole airline was flooded with water and the planes and cars were half submerged in the water. With the heavy gust of wind, the entire road to the airport was drenched.

Another video showed the condition of the city, due to the heavy rain the city was half drowned even cars, the roads were all flooded and a car carrier trailer was called to carry the cars. At least one Dubai Metro station was drenched in the deep water, including shopping centers, Dubai Mall and Mall of the Emirates.

Storm-related flooding and chaos spread beyond Dubai to the entire UAE and neighboring Bahrain.

The condition in Oman was very serious, 18 people were found dead in Oman due to the heavy rain, and even Bahrain was fully flooded.

Schools were closed across the Emirates, and further storms, including hail, are forecast for today, prompting authorities to extend remote working arrangements.
