DRDO's Akash Prime Missile destroys aerial target with meticulous precision

A recent video has been shared by DRDO which is getting popular on the social media. The video displays the Akash Prime missile destroying an unmanned aerial target which represented an enemy aircraft. The missile performed exceptional in its maiden flight test with unparalleled accuracy. DRDO has done it again, like always and the country is proud of it.

DRDO shared the video on their official Twitter Handle. It stated, "DRDO today conducts Successful Maiden Flight Test of Akash Prime Missile from Integrated Test Range (ITR), Chandipur, Odisha." and added a video clip. The flight testing took place at 4:30 pm, as per the DRDO officials.

Besides the features present in the current Akash missiles, the Akash Prime stands dipoles apart and stands out. It has an indigenous active RF seeker for improved accuracy. Other improvements also exist to ensure reliable performance under low-temperature environment at higher altitudes, according to the DRDO officials.

The Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh also congratulated and lauded the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Indian Army, Indian Air Force and other stakeholders of the country's protection on the successful trial of the prime missile.
