‘Don’t Target Muslims or Kashmiris’: Navy Officer Vinay Narwal’s Widow Appeals After Pahalgam Attack
A blood donation camp was organised on the 27th birth anniversary of Lieutenant Vinay Narwal, who was among 26 killed in Pahalgam attack.

‘Don’t Target Muslims or Kashmiris’: On his 27th birthday, Lieutenant of the Indian Navy Vinay Narwal's wife, Himanshi Narwal, made an emotional plea for peace and forgiveness. Vinay Narwal was one of the 26 people murdered heartlessly by terrorists on 22 April in Baisaran, near Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir.
According to her reports on Thursday, Himanshi Narwal is pursuing a PhD from Gurugram, said, “I just want the entire nation to pray for him, that wherever he is, he remains healthy and happy.”

Additionally, it was emphasized that anger must certainly not be directed towards any particular community. “We don't want people going against Muslims or Kashmiris. We want peace and only peace. Of course, we want justice,” she said.
A blood donation camp was organized in Haryana's Karnal on the occasion of the 27th birthday anniversary of Vinay Narwal.
Narwal's mother and wife Himanshi broke down while tributes were being paid off to the Naval officer.
The event was arranged by Karnal District NGO National Integrated Forum of Artists and Activists. The gathering was addressed by different speakers who said that this late officer has served his nation in a dedicated manner and his work will always be in the heart of people.
One of the speakers actually referred to the terror attack in Pahalgam by saying that when the terrorists took innocent lives, they will be saved by this blood donation camp.
BJP MLA from Karnal, Jagmohan Anand was also there.
Married about a week before the April 22 terror attack, Narwal and Himanshi were on their honeymoon in Pahalgam when terrorists shot the Naval officer at point-blank.

A video that allegedly went viral shows a distraught Himanshi saying something from the site of the incident, “I was eating bhel puri and my husband was with me. A person came and asked if he was a Muslim. When he denied, the man shot him dead.”
Narwal would be fondly remembered by his colleagues as the bright and mindfully-serving officer.
Newlyweds, who tied the knot on April 16, had come to Baisaran in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district to enjoy their honeymoon. They originally intended to go to Switzerland, but it was taking forever to get the visa. According to relatives, they decided on Pahalgam.
“Everything had come together so perfectly,” said Manish, Himanshi’s elder cousin, told HT earlier. “Their wedding was finalised in January. Our families go back a long way — Himanshi’s father and Lt Narwal’s father were close friends. It was meant to be a union of love and deep-rooted bonds.”
