About Do Aur Do Pyaar
The film shows two characters, Kavya [Vidya Balan] and Ani [Pratik Gandhi], 'once in love', who are trapped in a marriage where conversations do not go beyond utility talk.
Even if they sleep together in one bed, there is no physical intimacy and they rarely fight with each other which has made them think of finding love outside to make each other realize that love for one another has not been forgotten despite their distance.
In addition to bringing to life the vulnerability and loneliness of a couple, they show us their goofiness with equal passion.
Ani and Kavya as a give and take artists seem so effortless on screen. Their on-screen chemistry is palpable. Their intimacy almost gives you a tingling sensation.
As Vidya and Pratik jam together in a shady bar to an old 90s rendition, be prepared to dance along. This scene is a testament to their crackling chemistry where you can feel a roller coaster of emotions at the same time due to their crackling chemistry.
In search of love outside, Ani Banerjee finds his love in a rising actor Nora (Ileana D’Cruz) and Kavya finds her love in a hotshot photographer Vikram (Sendhil Ramamurthy).
She has some of the best moments in the film. Watching Ileana after a long time will make you miss her a bit more. Sendhil as Vikram delivers a silent yet powerful performance.
'Do Aur Do Pyaar' reminds you that sometimes it's not as complicated as you might think. It's really about simply showing up.
