Divyanka Tripathi Reveals The Reason For Rejecting Bade Acche Lagte Hain 2 Alongside Nakuul Mehta

When reports of Divyanka Tripathi being approached for Bade Acche Lagte Hain 2 came out, her fans were quite happy. The actor was going to get paired alongside Nakuul Mehta in the show. However, all their hopes came crashing down when the Yeh Hai Mohabbatein actor rejected the show.

Ever since Tripathi said no to be a part of Bade Acche Lagte Hain 2 after the look test, various media houses speculated different reasons. However, the actor has now revealed what made her say no to such an interesting show.

Divyanka Tripathi revealed that her pairing with Nakuul Mehta might look a bit off. Hence, she decided to back off so that the makers could find an apt leading lady that will suit him. In an interaction with the Times of India, Tripathi said, "After working for so many years into this industry if it is me or anyone as an actor, we should have at least this liberty to choose a project which I am passionate about."

The actor also said that she could not relate to the project and informed the production house about the same. Divyanka added, "As far as the report of me looking older than him onscreen is considered in fact I totally agree with it. Because when I was offered the show and I was proposed this idea, I was surprise after hearing about the pairing and my family also reacted the same way. They felt that we would look slightly off. But when I spoke to the show’s team over the phone, I agreed to do the look test. I felt like let’s give the look test and see how our pair actually looks onscreen."

Well, it's good that the actor cleared out all the rumours. As far as Bade Acche Lagte Hain 2 casting is concerned, the production house is yet to finalise a new leading lady. It's a new story and the second season of Sony TV's one of the most popular shows, Bade Acche Lagte Hai (2011), which starred Sakshi Tanwar and Ram Kapoor.
