Petrol pump sales jumped five times this month as bus fleet operators and wholesale users like malls flocked to petrol pumps to buy fuel instead of the usual practice of placing orders directly to oil companies, leading to losses for retailers.
Diesel costs Rs 86.67 per liter at petrol pumps in Delhi, but it costs around Rs 115 for bulk or industrial users. Explain that PSU oil companies have not increased the retail prices of petrol and diesel with effect from November 4, 2021, despite the increase in global oil and fuel prices.
