DGCA issued show cause notice to GoFirst, the flight had left leaving more than 50 passengers

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on Tuesday issued a show cause notice to GoFirst airline for abandoning 55 passengers in a coach at the Bengaluru airport. According to the information, on Monday, a flight of GoFirst airline took off from Bengaluru to Delhi, but left 55 passengers in the passenger coach at Bengaluru airport. People termed the incident as negligence.
In its statement, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) said, "In the present case a number of lapses such as lack of proper communication, coordination and confirmation led to a highly avoidable situation." DGCA has issued a show cause notice to the Accountable Managing Officer of GoFirst as to why enforcement action should not be taken against him for breach of his regulatory obligations. "They have been given two weeks' time to submit their reply to the DGCA and further action will be taken based on that," the statement said.
Passengers alleged that the GoFirst flight from Bengaluru to Delhi took off without waiting for the passengers sitting in the bus. He alleged that flight G-8 left at 6.40 am on Monday morning leaving behind 116 passengers. After this incident, some passengers had lodged a complaint through social media.
