In his latest video, which has now been deleted, Shwetabh shared details of a recent phone call with Samay, saying he sounded extremely sad.
"Bhaisahab, toota hua hai vo insaan. When the controversy had erupted, I could still see the old Samay in him, but when I spoke to him the last time, I saw a broken man... depressed, sad, scared," shared Shwetabh in his video as per Free Press Journal.

Shwetabh Gangwar is a close friend of Samay Raina, and recently he shared about the latter’s whereabouts. According to the Free Press Journal, he stated that Samay was deeply affected by the controversy.
Shwetabh Gangwar had spoken to Samay on the phone and found him to be very upset. He described Samay as broken, depressed, and scared. Shwetabh Gangwar himself felt overwhelmed and took a break from social media, as he felt unable to support his friend. He also mentioned that Ranveer Allahbadia, Apoorva Mukhija, and Ashish Chanchlani were also experiencing a difficult time during this period.

Meanwhile, during Ranveer Allahbadia’s Supreme Court hearing on Monday, without directly naming Samay Raina, Justice Surya Kant called out the younger generation for being “oversmart”. The court said, “These youngsters are being oversmart. One of them went to Canada and spoke about all of this… they don’t know what can be done. We don’t want to (act), because they are young, we understand,” according to Live Law. This comes after Samay joked about the controversy in his recent London show. He mentioned that ticket sales were helping pay his lawyer’s fees.
When Samay addressed the controversy
Samay is currently in Canada for his live shows following India's Got Latent controversy and has sought time until March 17 to return to India and record his official statement. During one of his shows, he mentioned the controversy.
