Delhi’s Desh Ke Mentor Program Brand Ambassador Sonu Sood: 'No Greater Service Than Guiding Students'

In the past one and a half years, actor Sonu Sood has helped hundreds of people. Whether it's helping the labourers reach their homes during a lockdown or providing food, medicines, financial aid to the needy, the actor has been of great help. Since then, there have been many speculations about him joining any political party. While that didn't happen, today, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal appointed the actor as the brand ambassador of the 'Desh Ke Mentor' initiative.

Yes, you read it right. Sonu Sood is now appointed as the Delhi government's Desh Ke Mentor initiative today. Under the initiative, three lakh young professionals will guide and mentor at least 10 lakh Delhi Government School Students for a bright and better future. The initiative aims to make education a mass movement. The news was shared on Aam Aadmi Party, aka AAP's official Twitter handle. Sonu and Delhi CM Kejriwal hosted a press conference today and talked about the initiative. 

About being appointed as a brand ambassador of the Desh Ke Mentor program, Sonu said, "Today, I have been given an opportunity to mentor lakhs of students. There is no greater service than guiding students. I am sure together we can & we will." 

The actor also said, "देश की तरक्की तभी हो सकती है जब Education का स्तर बढ़ेगा। मुझे बताने की जरूरत नहीं है Delhi में किस Level का बदलाव आया है, All thanks to Arvind Kejriwal Sir (The progress of the country can happen only when the level of education will increase. I don't need to tell which level the change has happened in Delhi, all thanks to Arvind Kejriwal sir)."

About appointing the actor as the brand ambassador, Kejriwal said, "पूरे देश के लिए  Sonu Sood एक Inspiration बन चुके है। जो भी इनके घर मदद के लिए पहुंचता है, उसे मदद मिलती है। दिल्ली सरकार में जो अच्छे काम हो रहे है, हमने वो भी Sonu Sood जी को बताया। (For the whole country Sonu Sood has become an inspiration. Whoever asks help from him, he gets them help. We also told Sonu Sood ji the good work being done in the Delhi government)".
