Delhi's Air Quality: Fourth phase of GRAP implemented in Delhi NCR, Environment Minister convenes high level meeting amid polluted air

According to the fourth phase of Grape, the entry of trucks into Delhi has been banned but vehicles carrying essential commodities, providing essential services and all CNG/electric trucks will not be banned. The CAQM has asked state governments, municipal and private offices to take a decision to operate at 50% capacity and allow the rest to work from home.

Delhi's Air Quality: Fourth phase of GRAP implemented in Delhi NCR, Environment Minister convenes high level meeting amid polluted air

The air quality in Delhi NCR is deteriorating. Delhi's Air Quality Index (AQI) reached 418 on Thursday evening. The fourth phase of GRAP was also implemented due to increasing pollution. The Air Quality Management Commission (CAQM) has ordered the implementation of the fourth phase in Delhi-NCR.

According to the fourth phase of Grape, the entry of trucks into Delhi has been banned but vehicles carrying essential commodities, providing essential services and all CNG/electric trucks will not be banned. The CAQM has asked state governments, municipal and private offices to take a decision to operate at 50% capacity and allow the rest to work from home.

Environment Minister Gopal Rai has called a high level meeting after the implementation of Grape-4 in Delhi. A meeting will be held on November 4 at 12 noon under the chairmanship of Delhi Secretariat Minister Gopal Rai. Officers related to Environment Department and other related departments will be present in the meeting. On Thursday evening, the AQI of Noida, adjacent to Delhi, reached 484, which is in the severe category. At the same time, Gurugram's AQI is 467, which falls in the severe category. At the same time, Terminal 3 near Delhi Airport also has 462.

Many people in Delhi are having trouble breathing. Including children and the elderly. He has complained of breathing problems in his nearest hospitals. Parents sending their children to school are scared due to pollution. Even in such circumstances some parents believe that the government should keep the schools open. At the same time, some believe that schools should be closed.
