Delhi's air deteriorated, Air Quality Index recorded at 374

The air quality at Delhi's Mathura Road was severe with an AQI of 513, according to the System of Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR). Pusa recorded an AQI of 365, Lodhi Road 364, Dhirpur 385 and Ayanagar 357, all in the 'very poor' category.

Delhi's air deteriorated, Air Quality Index recorded at 374

The air quality in the capital Delhi is in the very poor category. There was fog in the surrounding areas including Delhi on Saturday. The Air Quality Index (AQI) in Delhi remained in the Very Poor category. The Air Quality Index of Delhi has been recorded at 374. The air quality at Delhi's Mathura Road was severe with an AQI of 513, according to the System of Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR). Pusa recorded an AQI of 365, Lodhi Road 364, Dhirpur 385 and Ayanagar 357, all in the 'very poor' category.

An AQI between zero and 50 is considered "good"; 51 and 100 "satisfactory"; 101 and 200 "medium"; 201 and 300 "Bad"; 301 and 400 "very poor"; and 401 and 500 "severe". Experts said that the AQI is likely to fall in the severe category in the coming days.

In view of the deteriorating air quality in the capital Delhi, the government has again implemented the third phase of GRAP (Graded Response Action Plan). Barring Railways, Delhi Metro and some other departments, construction works have been banned in the entire NCR. The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) has ordered a strict ban on construction activities in the entire NCR. Delhi-NCR is currently in the grip of severe cold. Delhi's minimum temperature was 2 degrees in some places. In some areas, the minimum temperature was also 3 degrees. Due to the increasing cold wave and cold, life has become busy. Health Export has advised the elderly and children to avoid extreme cold.
