Delhi Weather Update: Severe cold in Delhi, Safdarjung temperature less than 2 degrees

Severe cold continues in Delhi-NCR. Along with this, the drivers are facing problems due to the dense fog cover in the atmosphere. Visibility in Palam remained 50 meters in the morning. At the same time, the minimum temperature in the capital was recorded at 2.2 degrees Celsius on the previous day, which is five degrees below the average. According to the Meteorological Department, the sky will be clear on Sunday. There will be a cold wave in the morning and very dense fog.

Earlier on Saturday, the ridge area of the capital recorded a minimum temperature of 1.5 degrees in the morning, while the average minimum temperature was 2.2 degrees, which was five degrees below normal. Because of this, the morning of December 7 was the coldest in the last two years. For some time now, the temperature here is being recorded below even the cities of the hill state. At the same time, it was recorded 1.7 and 2.2 degrees respectively in Narnaul and Hisar of Haryana. Flight and train operations were also affected due to the fog.
January 7 in Delhi was the third coldest day in 10 years. The coldest was on January 1, 2021, when the minimum temperature was 1.1 degrees Celsius and on January 6, 2013, the minimum temperature was 1.9 degrees Celsius. The lowest minimum temperature was recorded on January 7.
