Panic gripped parts of the city this week as nine bomb threats were sent to eight schools and one college in Delhi over three days, leading to evacuations and security checks.

Delhi School Bomb Sacre: Panic gripped parts of the city this week as nine bomb threats were sent to eight schools and one college in Delhi over three days, leading to evacuations and security checks. Although all were hoaxes, the frequency and timing has raised concerns among parents, educators and cops.
The threats, all via email, have targeted schools in Dwarka, Vasant Kunj, Hauz Khas, Chanakyapuri and Paschim Vihar and even St. Stephen’s College, one of Delhi University’s most prestigious institutions.
According to reports, the latest threats were received by schools in Dwarka at 5:26 am, Vasant Kunj at 6:30 am, Paschim Vihar at 8:11 am and Hauz Khas at 8:12 am. Bomb disposal squads, local police and cyber experts were deployed to each location for thorough checks but nothing suspicious has been found so far.

Two schools, St. Thomas in Dwarka and Vasant Valley School in Vasant Kunj had faced similar threats earlier and had to be evacuated and inspected in detail.
On Tuesday, St. Stephen’s College and St. Thomas School also received bomb threats via email. According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (North) Raja Banthia, St. Stephen’s received the threat at 7:15 am. “The mail claimed that four IEDs and two RDX bombs had been planted on the premises and in the library of the college. It further claimed they would explode by 2 pm,” he said.
A senior police officer said, "We received alerts early in the morning from schools about the emails. Teams of the bomb detection and disposal squad were sent with special cell officials. We are also looking into the email received. Nothing has been found yet. We ensured all parents and school staff had been alerted."

Monday (Day 1 – July 15):

2. CRPF School, Sector 16, Dwarka

Tuesday (Day 2 – July 16):
4. St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University
- The email claimed that four IEDs and two RDX explosives had been planted on the premises and in the college library, with a detonation time of 2 pm.
- Police, bomb squad and fire services rushed in. Nothing suspicious was found.
5. St. Thomas School, Sector 19, Dwarka
6. Laxman Public School, Haus Khas
Wednesday (Day 3 – July 17):
7. St. Thomas School, Dwarka
8. Vasant Valley School, Vasant Kunj
9. Mother’s International School, Hauz Khas
10. Richmond Global School, Paschim Vihar
Police are yet to identify the sender of the mails this week.
Meanwhile, Sardar Patel Vidyalaya sent an email to the parents.
"Dear Parents, Due to a potential bomb threat received this morning, and as advised by the police, Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, will remain closed today, 16th July, 2025. A Bomb Disposal Squad is conducting a full sanitisation of the premises. We will keep you updated... For parents of students who travel on their own, please pick up your ward either from the junior school gate or the senior school ground gate. Those using the school bus will be returning by the same...", the letter read.
