Delhi Police arrested two terrorists from near Red Fort, accused were trying to go to Pakistan

The Special Cell has arrested Khalid Mubarak Khan and Abdullah, two terrorists who were in contact with the Pakistan-based handler. Both were planning to go to Pakistan for arms training. Earlier he was caught. Two pistols, ten cartridges, knife and wire cutter have been recovered from them. The arrest of these two radicals has exposed the conspiracy of Pakistani terrorist organizations to lure Indian youths for arms training in Pakistan.

According to DCP Special Cell Rajeev Ranjan Singh, Khalid is a resident of Mubarak Khan, Thane West, Maharashtra and Abdullah alias Abdur Rahman, Kaliakulla, Tamil Nadu. Both were in constant touch with a handler based in Pakistan. On the instructions of the boss, they were plotting to illegally cross the border and go to Pakistan for arms training. The Special Cell was acting on inputs that some youths were being radicalized by Pak-based handlers on internet media and instructed to undergo arms training in Pakistan before carrying out terror attacks in India.

On February 14, it was reported that some radicals pledging allegiance to a terrorist module would come to Delhi via Mumbai to carry out illegal activities and would further go to Pakistan for terrorist training with the help of their Pakistan-based handlers. They have illegal weapons and will reach near Ring Road behind Red Fort. On the said information, under the leadership of ACP Hriday Bhushan and Lalit Mohan Negi, the team of Inspectors Sunil Rajan, Ravinder Joshi, Vinay Pal and Arvind took quick action and nabbed both near Red Fort. Their network is being traced.
