Delhi Police arrested 2 suspected terrorists, who were going to target a politician from Punjab
According to sources, the Punjab Police arrested Gurvinder Singh and his two accomplices Sandeep Singh and Gurpreet Singh on 9 August 2022 for the murder of Shaurya Chakra awardee Balwinder Singh alias Sandhu. RDX, IED, hand grenade, Rs 37 lakh, 634 grams of heroin and weapons were recovered from a field from their possession.

The Special Cell of Delhi Police has arrested two more suspected terrorists. They have been identified as Jagbir alias Jagga and Gurupreet, residents of Gurdaspur in Punjab. Both are cousins. They were plotting a terrorist incident in Punjab. A politician from Punjab was also on his target. Delhi Police presented them in the court. From where both have been sent to judicial custody for 14 days. After this, the Punjab Police had registered a case under UAPA at Sultanpur Lodi police station. The police was looking for Gurwinder's accomplices Jagbir and Gurpreet. The counter intelligence of Special Cell arrested both of them from Delhi last week. The arrested terrorists told during interrogation that they wanted to commit a major terrorist incident in Punjab on August 15, 2022. When the Punjab Police failed this mission, they were given another task. They were asked to commit terrorist acts in Delhi and Punjab. He was also asked to target a politician in Punjab.
The accused told that the RDX-IED and hand grenade caught in Punjab were sent from Pakistan to Punjab through drone. After this, now again RDX and hand grenades were coming from Pakistan for terrorist incidents.
