Before the meeting, sources had claimed that the 12 MLAs could not be contacted for a few days. He had expressed the hope that he would attend the meeting called at the residence of MLA Kejriwal. Bhardwaj said the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) should investigate from where the BJP got Rs 800 crore to break AAP MLAs. Bhardwaj alleged, “BJP has approached 12 MLAs to switch sides. The MLAs have said that they are with the AAP. BJP is targeting 40 MLAs and Rs 20-20 crore has been offered to switch sides." BJP MLAs rubbished the allegations of sacking AAP MLAs and termed it as a tactic of the Kejriwal-led party to gain sympathy from the people.
BJP MP Manoj Tiwari said that AAP is trying to divert the attention of the people. He questioned Kejriwal's "silence" on Delhi's excise policy. Four AAP MLAs on Wednesday claimed that BJP leaders had approached them and offered to switch sides and were told that the BJP was in touch with 20-25 MLAs of the Kejriwal-led party. Apart from this, a special session of the Delhi Legislative Assembly will be held on Friday.
