Seelampur Police Station : 27 Stolen Mobile Phones recovered , Delhi Police team arrested two active snatchers

On August 30, 2022, a robbery was reported in PS-Seelampur, whistleblower Daljeet Dhiman S/o Om Prakash reported that he was on his way to Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi at around 9:15 am. Seelampur Flyover, two people on a scooter approached from behind, the passenger grabbed his black iPhone 11 and ran towards Shastri Park. He chased her in an auto rickshaw.Meanwhile, their scooter skidded and fell, after which they both fled on foot, leaving the scooter behind, from which a mobile phone was also recovered.

Consequently, according to the complainant, a case was registered at PS Seelampur, Delhi and an investigation was initiated. During the course of the investigation, a police team consisting of HC Jaiveer Singh, HC Navneesh and Const. Manish, under the supervision of SHO/Seelampur Satvinder Singh Rana, CCTV recordings from the area.Technical and manual surveillance was also used based on technical surveillance and human intelligence, on 01/09/2022 a trap was set and at the whistleblower's instigation, a person named Zishan was arrested at the DDA parking lot in front of the College of Engineering during the raid 02 mobile phones were recovered from his possession so he could not was able to answer satisfactorily.

During interrogation, he admitted his involvement in the overpass robbery and revealed something about his partner. His case was raided and his partner Rahul and Nikesh was arrested on the back road near GT Selampur Road underpass. His identity was established as Zeeshan S/o Mustakeem R/o Gandhi Nagar, Delhi, aged 24 and Rahul and Nikesh S/o Pappu R/o Jai Prakash Nagar, Delhi, aged 23. During interrogation, Rahul and Nikesh revealed his involvement in multiple robberies. Also, Rahul and Nikesh turned out to be a BC from PS Shastri Park, Delhi.A raid was carried out at his instigation and 25 stolen mobile phones were found in his apartment. During lengthy interrogations, they revealed that they had earlier sold the stolen mobile phones to a person they know as Shahrukh in the Jafarabad area.

Of the 27 mobile phones, 04 were connected to the corresponding FIRs. Serious efforts are being made to connect the remaining 23 mobile phones. Further investigations into the case are ongoing.

Zeeshan S/o Mustakeem R/o Kailash Nagar has been arrested, Age-24 years. He is an auto driver. Previous Involvement-25 (Robbery, Snatching & Theft) . Rahul @ Nikesh S/o Pappu R/o Gali No 9 Jai Prakash Nagar Delhi has also been arrested. Age-23 years. He is a BC of PS Shastri Park. Previous Involvement-15 (Robbery, Snatching, Theft & Arms Act)

Following phones ofOPPO-08, VIVO-07, SAMSUNG-02, MI-01, Redmi-07, Realme-01, i-phone-01 have been arrested. Total 27 Stolen Mobile Phones have been recovered. Devesh Kumar Mahla , IPS , Addl. DY Commisioner of Delhi Police , North East District said.
