Delhi liquor scam: CBI will interrogate Deputy CM Manish Sisodia today
According to sources, the arrested accused is the owner of a company named Raghav Balaji Group and son of YSR Congress Party MP. The ED and the CBI have claimed that irregularities were committed while revising Delhi's excise duty policy with the connivance and bribery of a lobby known as 'South Group'.

The CBI has called Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia for questioning again on Sunday in the Delhi Excise Policy scam case. Sisodia himself shared this information by tweeting. He tweeted, “CBI has called again yesterday. They have used the full power of CBI and ED against me. Earlier also nothing was found against me in the raid at home and the search of bank lockers. I have arranged good education for the children of Delhi, they want to stop it. I have always cooperated with the investigation and will continue to do so."
On the other hand, when asked about this during a press conference, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that there was no scam in the excise policy. A similar policy has increased the revenue in Punjab by 48 percent, but in Delhi it is being called a scam as part of a conspiracy. Manish Sisodia will go to CBI on Sunday and will extend full cooperation to them.
On February 11, 2023 itself, Magunta Raghav Reddy was arrested by the ED in the Delhi Excise Policy scam case. Maguntha Raghava Reddy is the son of YSR Congress Party MP Maguntha Sreenivasulu Reddy.
The BJP has accused Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of making false statements regarding the liquor scam. State BJP working president Virendra Sachdeva said that the Chief Minister is claiming that there is no liquor scam in Delhi. They should tell that if there was no scam, then why the new excise policy had to be changed as soon as the CBI investigation started? The accused in this case, Vijay Nair, is AAP's strategist. He is not getting bail which clearly shows that a scam has happened and he is involved in it. In the press conference, he said that Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia should make public his relation with Nair, Arun Pillai, Sameer Mahendru and other accused.
