Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal resigns from his post

Delhi's Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal has resigned from his post. The reason for his resignation is said to be personal. He resigned from his post on Wednesday. Earlier, the LG of Delhi was Najeeb Jung. At present, the decision on who will be the next Ajli Delhi has not been decided yet. 

Anil Baijal had a lot of controversy with the Delhi government in recent times. The Arvind Kejriwal government had also accused them of being agents of the Center including not allowing them to work. After Najeeb Jung, he became the LG of Delhi. After which the state government has made such allegations many times.

A horrific tragedy took place in Delhi on May 13, 2022. In this, 27 people died due to burning alive. On this incident, LG Anil Baijal had approved a magisterial inquiry into the fire incident. It will be completed within six weeks. The District Magistrate (West) will investigate the lapses on the part of the concerned departments and agencies.
