Delhi Kanjhawala case: The accused in the Kanjhawala case will be run for murder, Delhi Police added Section 302

In the case of the death of a girl after being dragged from a car in Delhi's Kanjhawala, the police have added the section of murder. Delhi Police said that after collecting the evidence, section 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) of the IPC has been substituted with section 302 (murder). The Ministry of Home Affairs is also keeping an eye on this matter. About a week ago, the Home Ministry had asked Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora to prosecute all the accused under the section of murder.

Earlier, the police had registered a case under sections of dangerous driving, trying to destroy evidence, culpable homicide not amounting to murder and criminal conspiracy. All the accused Deepak Khanna, Amit Khanna, Krishna, Mithun, Manoj Mittal, Ashutosh Bhardwaj and Ankush have been arrested by the police in the case. Ankush got bail on January 7 and Ashutosh got bail from Rohini court on January 17.

Police said that only four accused were in the Baleno car on the night of January 1. Deepak Khanna who had taken the responsibility of driving the car during the incident was not in the car. He had taken it upon himself to drive the car to mislead the police as he had a driving license. Police say that Deepak is arrested in this case. So it will not make any difference to the case. It has misled the police. The section of criminal conspiracy is already engaged in the case.

Delhi Police's Special Commissioner (Law and Order) Sagar Preet Hooda told that the arrested accused Amit is actually Ankush's brother. After the incident, he called from the way and told that he had killed a young woman by crushing her with a car. After this Ashutosh and Ankush told him the ways to escape. Both tried to save the five accused.
