Delhi Heatwave Precautions: Orange alert in Delhi, chances of heat stroke
Warning Signs of Heat Exhaustion – Fainting, nausea, weakness, tiredness, irritability, headache and increased body temperature. If heat exhaustion is left untreated, it can turn into heat stroke.

The Meteorological Department issued a heatwave warning in Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh including Delhi a few days ago. Although heat wave is common in India, but this year the heat is breaking records. The temperature has increased significantly during the May-June season. Which can prove to be a health hazard. Heat stroke, heatstroke and heat exhaustion are serious diseases that can make anyone seriously ill.
Heat exhaustion causes rapid dehydration of the body, usually excessive sweating, which leads to loss of water and salt and drains the person's energy.
Heat stroke is much more serious than heat exhaustion, and requires immediate medical attention. Symptoms of heatstroke include confusion, altered mental status, hoarseness of voice, loss of consciousness, hot, dry skin or excessive sweating, seizures, and very high body temperature.
There are several warning signs of heat stroke, which, if noticed in time, can be treated before the condition becomes serious.
If affected by heat stroke, then stop all work and go to a cool place immediately. Drink plenty of water, moisten the towel and place it on your hands, neck and mouth. Apart from this, you can also take a bath with cold water. You can also apply ice packs to the underarms, neck, groin and back. Contact the doctor without wasting time.
